The 2026 build season has arrived!

June 5, 2026 update

Hello everyone, well we finally were able to dig the footings for the second house this year, they were able to dig water and sewer yesterday and the footing today. A special thanks to Bill, Marshall, Keith and Darrell. The grade stakes are in place but still need to be set to correct height tomorrow.

Heather's house is coming along, doors are all installed as well as the counter tops and most of the trim.

Bob and company were almost finished with the ceiling drywall I noticed this morning at the next house.

Things to be working on tomorrow.
Setting grade stakes and getting rebar in place so we can pour footings on Tuesday
Start forming driveway on next house
Installing doorknobs on the first house (they came in yesterday)
Start installing soffit and fascia
Shingling the garden shed (doors did not come in yesterday)
Filling nail holes in molding
Move dirt
Start to bring over appliances
Thanks for all you do,
Tracy

May 29, 2026 update

Hello everyone, another great week at the build site. We have poured the first of the concrete for sidewalk along Ave. M and are planning on finishing the rest tomorrow. Doors are getting casings installed along with trim around the walls, counter tops were installed on Thursday, and I think the carpet has been installed. We were unable to dig footings on Thursday because of the mud so now that is planned for Tuesday. Both electrical and plumbing inspections are complete so we can start drywalling in the first house.

So, for tomorrow we have plenty to do.
running of the concrete
continue with installing trim and casing doors, base board molding and filling nail holes
blinds will need to be installed after doors and molding are finished
doorknobs, towel racks, closet shelves need installed
haul dirt and put landscaping timbers and rock put around house
garden shed needs a door, siding and shingles
Painting
Soffit and fascia are ready to be started
rock put under electrical box on east end of 18th St
Thanks for all You do
Tracy

May 15, 2026 update

Hello everyone, hard to believe another week has gone by, as they say time flies when you are having fun or pouring concrete. I believe we have all the concrete poured for Heather's house and the garden shed on the next one.

We had a great group form Eaton come help yesterday and they helped get the forms and sand put in along Ave. M.

The list of things we will be working on seems to be getting bigger instead smaller.

Installing interior doors, possibly starting with molding and putting closet shelving in the yellow house.

We have windows for the next home so as they get installed we will also be able to start putting on more siding.

Tep and company will be putting up another garden shed.

There is a lot of forms that need to be taken off and cleaned up.

Also we need to get started marking out the next house.

I would like to say a special THANK YOU to the group that helped with the concrete yesterday.

Thanks for all you do!
Tracy

May 8, 2026 Update

Hello everyone;

another week has hurried by, but we have accomplished quite a bit. There are only two rooms left to have flooring put down, vanities have been put in and we have poured sidewalks and driveways, also I see that switch and outlet covers have been installed.

For tomorrow we will be working on

working on the flooring
removing concrete forms from the driveway
putting forms in for more sidewalk
forming the back stoop and sidewalk
putting forms together for the next garden shed
other thing that can be done at Heathers house as long as it doesn't interfere with getting the flooring down
bringing interior doors and molding and begin installing
installing closet shelving
installing window blinds

Also, we need to keep Dennis in our thoughts and prayers as he had eye surgery on Thursday.

Thanks for all you do and see you tomorrow,
Tracy

May 1, 2026 Update

Hello everyone,
The cabinets are mostly installed in Heathers house and the tile in the bathrooms is down, and the flooring has been started in the rest of the house.

In the other house the safe room has been lined with plywood.

A lot of soil has been relocated around both homes and tomorrow we will be working on putting forms in to run sidewalk along Ave. M and in front of the house, working on the flooring and there is a row or two of siding that needs to be put on.

We will do coffee and lunch ate the warehouse as we don't have power at the trailer yet see you tomorrow!

Thanks for all you do!

Tracy

April 24, 2026 Update

Hello everyone,
Another week has gone by and we have shingles on the roof, blueboard and house wrap on the sides and even some siding on as well. Cabinets have been delivered and partially installed, painting has continued when weather has allowed and some dirt has been put around the foundation.

Things we hope to be working on tomorrow will be cabinets, siding, proper vents and attic plugs, moving temporary power, installing steel post at property corners and painting them, carpet pad, insulation behind safe room wall and shower, top plate on bathroom closet, front room closet and pantry, closet wall shelf backing, moving building material from southwest corner of lot to the east across from trailers and installing temporary covering over windows and doors.

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.
The devotions will be at the job site.

Thanks
Tracy

April 17, 2026 Update

Hello everyone,
We ready to put trusses up tomorrow if mother nature approves. Because of the dedication of the building committee efforts on Tuesday and Thursday and some on Wednesday and Friday we are ready. So a special thank you to them. Also, Ken and company have the interior of Heathers home painted so flooring and cabinets can be started next week. For tomorrow the priority will be getting trusses and sheeting on, but Ken is hoping to be able to put another coat of paint on the exterior of Heather's house, other things to work on are a garden shed that needs shingled, hurricane straps installed, lag screws installed, cement board cut and installed, and dirt filled in around Haylee's new driveway approach.

There is a possibility of two groups to be there, plus the home buyers and their build partners. Thanks for All You Do and see you tomorrow,
Tracy

April 3, 2026 Update

Hello Everyone,
Things seem to be progressing well, Ken and company have been busy painting in Heather's house, the cabinets are scheduled to be here the week of the 13th. so we will plan on installing them at that time.

We were able to get the walls erected on house one last Saturday but mother nature has not been as cooperative as we would like to get them all straightened and plumb as they need to be, we will be top platting them Tuesday and Thursday with the intention of putting up trusses and sheating on Saturday April 11th.

Also, we are still working on the driveway at Haylee's house, hopefully that will get done this following week,
Happy Easter to everyone and remember WE WILL NOT BE WORKING THIS SATURDAY so everyone can spend time with family and loved ones.

Thank You for all you do,
Tracy

March 20, 2026 Update

Hello Everyone,
Things are starting to come together to start building next Saturday March 28. The walls for the first house of 2026 are built and waiting in the warehouse to be loaded and taken to the job site.

House three from last year has the dry wall finished and ready for painting, which Ken is also planning on starting the 28th. the garden shed has been built and should have siding on it by end of the week. Jerry says they are planning Wednesday to connect sewer and water for both houses at the job site. Then we will be able to start on driveways and sidewalks.

We are not planning on working this Saturday, but some are choosing to be there for some minor activates.

Also, we will also need to redo Haylee's driveway as soon as the city finishes their repairs of the street.

Thanks for all You do,
Tracy
